Low-Energy Limit of the Extended Linear Sigma Model — Jürgen Eser, Florian Divotgey, •Alexander Stegemann, and Dirk-Hermann Rischke — Institut für Theoretische Physik, Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, Germany
The extended Linear Sigma Model (eLSM) is a successful low-energy effective model for Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). By integrating out all heavy degrees of freedom, which can be done analytically on tree-level, the eLSM assumes the same form as chiral perturbation theory (ChPT) and the respective couplings agree with each other. We present a recent Functional Renormalization Group (FRG) study which extends the tree-level calculations.
