A Precision Optical Calibration Module for IceCube-Gen2 — •Antonio Becerra Esteban, Michael Böhmer, Andreas Gärtner, Roman Gernhäuser, Felix Henningsen, Kilian Holzapfel, Kai Krings, Laszlo Papps, Irene Soriano, and Elisa Resconi for the IceCube collaboration — TUM (ECP), München, Deutschland
A self-calibrated, homogeneus, multiwavelength calibration module for a precise measurement of the energy scale and resolution of IceCube-Gen2 is presented. This is obtained by creating an isotropic, in-situ calibrated light pulse of a few nanoseconds length inside the IceCube-Gen2 detector. The Pulse imitates a hight-Energetic neutrino event that in combination with the in-situ calibration will reduce the systematic uncertainties to a target value of 1
