Search for standard model Higgs boson decays to two muons at 13 TeV — Carina Brandt, Adrian Perieanu, •Oliver Rieger, Peter Schleper, Daniel Troendle, and Annika Vanhoefer — Universität Hamburg

A search is presented for the standard model Higgs boson decay to two muons based on LHC run2 data recorded by the CMS detector in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The sensitivity of this search is enhanced when distinct event topologies of the Higgs boson production are taken into account. Events are also classified according to their dimuon mass resolution. The results are shown for different topological event categories and their combination.
