Background Sources at the ILC and their Impact on SiD — •Anne Schütz — DESY, KIT, Germany
The International Linear Collider is a linear e+e− accelerator, which is unique due to the clean environment and its capability for high precision measurements. To achieve these goals the machine backgrounds for linear colliders have to be understood in great detail, and both, the machine and the detectors, have to be optimized towards that goal. Different machine backgrounds were simulated and their impact on the SiD detector performance were studied. From these studies several suggestions towards machine and detector optimizations are brought forward.
