CP violation of the Higgs boson would indicate physics beyond the Standard Model. So far its manifestation is searched for by using the kinematic properties of the decay products of the Higgs boson. The analysis presented in this talk, however, focusses on the Higgs boson production via gluon fusion. Events with two jets radiated off from the gluons or heavy quarks in the loop carry information about the CP state of the Higgs boson: the angle between the two jets in the transversal plane, Δ φjj, is used to distinguish different CP hypotheses. The analysis is performed on Higgs boson events selected in the di-τ final state. The full 2016 data set from CMS is analysed and an outlook to larger integrated luminosities is given.
