2.12, Search for supersymmetry with tau leptons in the CMS experiment — •Ilya Bobovnikov, Alexis Kalogeropoulos, Isabell Melzer-Pellmann, and Alexei Raspereza — DESY

A search for SUSY in events with τ leptons in the final state with 36/fb of 13 TeV data taken during 2016 is presented. Results are interpreted in terms of direct τ-pair production model, where each τ is expected to decay to a τ lepton and the lightest SUSY particle, and neutralino-chargino and chargino pair production model with decays to τ leptons. To optimize the sensitivity to various new physics topologies, we search in several exclusive categories, based on final states with one hadronically decaying τ lepton, an electron or muon from the decay of the second τ, and final states with one electron and one muon from the decay of the τ leptons. Finally, exclusion limits on simplified SUSY models parameters are calculated.
