New results from LHCb — •Mika Vesterinen for the LHCb collaboration — Physikalisches Institut, Heidelberg, Germany
The LHCb experiment is designed to make precise studies of the properties of beauty and charm hadrons. Many of these properties are sensitive to the effects of possible new particles that appear in physics beyond the Standard Model. LHCb recorded a large dataset during Run-I of the LHC (2010-2012) with pp collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. During 2015-2016, LHCb recorded data at the higher energy of 13 TeV. LHCb has also collected a large dataset of PbPb, pPb, Pbp collisions, and further data in a fixed target mode with nobel gas targets. The latest results from LHCb are presented and their implications are discussed.
