Layered transition-metal dichalcogenides have attracted great interest in the last few years due to their outstanding optical properties caused by the direct band gap located at the K-point in the brillouin zone. Due to the monolayer thickness, the direct environment plays a crucial role concerning the excitonic and therefor the optical properties of these materials. Our study focuses on optical measurements performed on WSe2 monolayers on three different substrates. Raman, time-integrated photoluminescence (TIPL) and time-resolved photoluminescence (TRPL) reveal influences of an additionally introduced intermediate hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) layer between substrate and the monolayer on the power-dependent time-evolution of the photoluminescence signal.
