A surface coalescence model for proton-nucleus collisions — •Ailec de la Caridad Bell Hechavarria — Institut für Kernphysik, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster
A theoretical surface coalescence approach was developed to describe the production of light clusters (nuclei) in nucleon-nucleus reactions at moderate energies. A semi-classical Wigner distribution is used to describe the coalescence phase space. Calculated differential production cross sections for A≤ 4 are compared to experimental data in p-Au collisions at a proton beam kinetic energy of 1.2 GeV. The model describes the data well for small emission angles and shows some differences to data for larger angles.
