RbEuFe4As4 is an ordered member of the class of iron based superconductors with a structure similar to half doped 122 iron based superconductors like Ca0.5Na0.5Fe2As2. In contrast to the latter RbEuFe4As4 shows a superstructure with distinct Eu and Rb positions. The material shows a superconducting transition at Tc=36.8 K and an onset of magnetic order of the paramagnetic Eu 4f moments at Tm=15 K [1]. This leads to a unique interplay between magnetic order and superconductivity which we study by magnetization, magnetotransport and ESR measurements. Our analysis reveals the temperature dependence of the lower and upper critical fields which we compare to appropriate theoretical models.
