We present results of high-field high-frequency electron spin resonance (ESR) studies of the honeycomb-lattice magnet α-RuCl3 for two principle magnetic-field orientations up to 16 T. For both orientations,H ∥ [100] and H ∥ [110], the polarization dependences are studied. It was found that in contrast to H ∥ [100], the gap at H ∼ 7 T remains open for H ∥ [110]. Peculiarities of the spin dynamics in α-RuCl3 are discussed.
