Measurement of the Bs0 oscillation frequency Δ ms with Bs0 → Ds− π+ decays at the LHCb experiment — •Quentin Führing and Kevin Heinicke — Experimentelle Physik 5, TU Dortmund
The Bs0−Bs0 oscillation frequency Δ ms is equivalent to the mass difference of the Bs0 mass eigenstates. This frequency is an important Standard Model measurement in its own right, and a precise measurement is crucial for reducing the systematic uncertainties associated with time-dependent CP violation measurements in the Bs0−Bs0 system.
At the LHCb experiment, the parameter Δ ms has previously been measured using data of Bs0 → Ds− π+ decays, recorded in 2011, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of Lint = 1.0 fb−1. In this talk, an updated measurement of Δ ms is presented. The analysis uses an larger dataset, recorded with the LHCb experiment between 2015 and 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of Lint = 5.7 fb−1.
