Photon and dilepton rates in the low energy regime and electrical conductivity — •Charlotte Gebhardt and Stefan Flörchinger — Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Heidelberg
We combine next to leading (NLO) computations on the thermal spectral function with results from hydrodynamic simulations with mode expansion (FluiduM) to study the eletrical conductivity of the Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP). Therefore we fit and modify the thermal spectral function, such that electrical conductivity can be varied. Further we present how this has an impact on the thermal particle spectra in the low energy regime. Results are shown for a simulated QGP of a Pb-Pb-collision at √sNN=2.76 TeV and √sNN=5.02 TeV. The aim is to find a way to gain insights on the electrical conductivity of the QGP from measurements of thermal photons and dileptons.
