Critical Casimir effect in the square-lattice Ising model with quenched surface disorder — •Luca Cervellera and Alfred Hucht — Theoretische Physik, Universität Duisburg-Essen and CENIDE, 47048 Duisburg, Germany

For the square-lattice Ising model, the critical Casimir amplitude and force can be calculated exactly for many geometries and boundary conditions. From a recent exact solution for the cylinder with length L, circumference M, and with arbitrary random boundary conditions at one boundary, we determine the full density of thermodynamic states ω(δ F, mB), with residual free energy δ F and boundary magnetization mB at criticality. From this quantity we can derive the disorder averaged Casimir potential for different aspect ratios and disorder ensembles.
