X-ray emission spectroscopy at DELTA — •Nicola Thiering, Christian Albers, Robin Sakrowski, Michael Paulus, Metin Tolan, and Christian Sternemann — Fakultät Physik/DELTA, Technische Universität Dortmund, D-44221 Dortmund, Germany

The analysis of the electronic and structural properties of transition metals is of enormous importance for a variety of research fields and applications. At beamline BL2 of the DELTA synchrotron radiation source (Dortmund, Germany) we used a hardened white beam of a bending magnet for efficient excitation to conduct X-ray emission spectroscopy experiments. The emission spectra were measured using a von Hámos spectrometer equipped with four cylindrically bent analyzer crystals in combination with a Pilatus 100K area detector. In order to demonstrate the capabilities of this setup, we present Kα, Kβ, and valence-to-core spectra of selected transition-metal bearing compounds.
