Superconductivity has recently been discovered in CrB2 under pressure with maximum reported Tc to be 7 K. Iso-structural to MgB2, CrB2 exhibits spin-density-wave (SDW) ground state at ambient pressure. In this talk, I will focus on the role of spin-fluctuations and electron-phonon coupling (EPC) in determining the Tc. We have performed ab-initio density functional perturbation theory to determine the EPC of this system and to study the spin-fluctuation, random-phase-approximation (RPA) has been employed.
