Magneto- and thermo transport are the key properties of metals that not only can be used to study the electronic bands [1] but also have potential applications for heat harvesting. Here we report our results on the thermoelectric properties of Weyl semimetals TaRhTe4, TaIrTe4 and MoxW1−xTe2 [2,3,4]. All of these materials show an anomaly in the Nernst and Seebeck effects, while no anomaly can be seen in the standard magnetotransport. We discuss the origin of this anomaly and compare the results obtained with those for two compounds from the same family of materials, WTe2 and MoTe2.
