We study the effect of strain on EuCd2As2 and the effect on its topological features in different interlayer antiferromagnetic configurations [1]. Magnetic anisotropy calculations indicate that the modulation of the lattice structure with strain can lead to a change in the direction of the magnetic moment changing the topology of the system [2,3]. We performed band structure calculations for the different strained configurations. We consider three different kinds of stress along the x-y plane: volumetric, longitudinal, and shear. In addition, we analyse the surface states at different cleavage surfaces.
