p-p-Λ correlation studies using perturbation theory* — •Dmytro Melnichenko — E62 Physik Department, Technical University of Munich James-Franck-Straße 1, 85748 Garching bei München, Germany
Perturbation theory is a primary tool used in quantum theory for treating Hamiltonians that cannot be solved exactly. In the case of three interacting hadrons, local three-body potentials can be treated as a perturbation to the two-body Hamiltonian. Perturbation theory allows us to compute the approximate three-body wave function used as input for three-particle correlation studies. In our work, the first-order perturbation theory was used to treat the p-p-Λ interaction potentials published in [D. Lonardoni, F.Pederiva, and S. Gandolfi, Phys. Rev. C 89(2014), 014314] and to calculate the corresponding three-body correlation function. We discuss our findings depending on different sets of potential strengths with implications to the neutron star puzzle, making a comparison to the p-p-Λ cumulant recently measured by ALICE.
