Cytoskelettal Actin plays an important role in cell stability and mobility. In a previous study, an increased amount of aggregated F-Actin has been found in liver tissue from infected animals in a mouse model for systemic infection [1]. We combine fluorescence lifetime imaging and expansion microscopy to evaluate different Actin staining approaches aiming at enhancing our understanding of Actin aggregation in the context of infection and therapy.
