We present a low temperature scanning tunneling microscope (STM) investigation of 9-Anthrol adsorbed on the Au (111) surface. This chemically unstable tautomer of Anthrone, is studied at the single molecule level, showing its structural and electronic properties. Anthrone was deposited on Au(111) by direct contact deposition followed by annealing at 200°C. High resolution STM images in constant height mode using a CO functionalized tip are presented, as well as scanning tunneling spectroscopy spectra and differential conductance maps of the single molecules.
