Talking about Paths in Academia — •Susanne Liese1, Alexander Schlaich1, Tylor Harmon2, Hélèner Seiler3, and Francesco Intravaia41AGyouLeaP — 2Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research, Dresden, Germany — 3Freie Universität Berlin, Berlin, Germany — 4Humboldt Universität zu Berlin

In the journey toward an academic position, various career trajectories are accessible. Following the Ph.D. and PostDoc phase, there are a variety of career pathways. In addition to the well-established Habilitation, alternative paths include becoming a Junior Professor or an independent group leader supported by external funding, such as an Emmy Noether fellowship. We want to talk to young scientist that followed different career paths, exploring their experiences and perspectives. AGyouLeaP is happy to welcome Tyler Harmon (Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research Dresden), Hélène Seiler (Freie Universität Berlin), and Francesco Intravaia (Humboldt Universität zu Berlin) for the panel discussion.
