Paving the way for fusion energy - as Proxima Fusion's Public Policy and Partnerships Lead — •Hannes Vogel — Proxima Fusion, Munich, Germany

Proxima Fusion is a fusion energy startup based in Munich and the only spin-out of the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP) - the world-leading institute in stellarator physics. With the latest breakthroughs in fusion research, we are convinced that the development of the first fusion power plants is within reach and no longer a question of fundamental research.

We are pursuing QI stellarators as the approach with the clearest path to grid deployment of fusion energy. Our international team has experience at some of the world's most innovative institutions, including Max Planck IPP, MIT, Harvard, Stanford and Google X.

In this talk, I will present our work at Proxima Fusion and explain how you could become part of our team. Moreover, I will share some lessons learned from my own career path.
