Do Quantum Dynamics Admit Dynamic Kraus Operators? — •Frederik vom Ende — Dahlem Center for Complex Quantum Systems, Freie Universität Berlin, Arnimallee 14, 14195 Berlin, Germany
We tackle the - curiously, still open - question of whether any quantum dynamics admit dynamic Kraus operators that are continuous in time. Our contribution is a result which states that all Lipschitz-continuous dynamics can be approximated arbitrarily well using analytic Kraus operators; equivalently, the partial trace over analytic paths of unitaries can approximate all quantum dynamics. This generalizes a recent result stating that analytic quantum dynamics can be represented exactly as the reduction of unitary dynamics generated by a time-dependent Hamiltonian.
