In quantum photonic applications, achieving efficient single-photon exchange requires high-quality resonators. Researchers focus on reducing mode volume (V) and increasing quality factor (Q) in Fabry-Pérot resonators. This involves crafting concave structures with a small radius of curvature (ROC) and low surface roughness (Osc). Here, we report on our latest effort to optimize the ratio of Q over V to estabish concave mirrors for next generation F.-P. microcavities.
