Measurement of p-d and Λ-d correlations in Pb–Pb and pp collisions — •Michael Jung for the ALICE Germany collaboration — Goethe-Universität Frankfurt
The correlation functions of p–d and Λ–d measured with ALICE in three different source sizes will be presented. The measurements were performed in pp collisions at √s = 13 TeV as well as in semi-central and central Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV. The particle identification and the procedure to obtain the correlation function will be shown. The results are then compared to theoretical predictions calculated using the Lednický-Lyuboshitz approach. For these calculations measured scattering lengths are taken. This measurement enables the possibility to study three particle interactions as well as the formation mechanism of light (hyper-)nuclei in particle collisions at LHC energies.
