p-p-Λ correlation studies using scattering theory — •Dmytro Melnichenko — TUM Munich

Scattering theory is a primary tool used in quantum theory to determine cross-sections and asymptotic wave function behavior. In the case of three interacting hadrons, local three-body potentials can be treated perturbatively in the generalized Born series. In our work, first order Born approximation was used to treat available p-p-Λ interaction potentials and to calculate the corresponding three-body correlation function. We discuss our findings by inspecting the validity region of this approach and comparing it with numerical methods. Results are compared to the p-p-Λ correlation function measured by ALICE in pp collisions at 13 TeV. This research was funded by BMBF Verbundforschung (05P21WOCA1 ALICE).
