We present our experiments with quantum gases of polar 23Na39K molecules, discussing both atom-molecule and molecule-molecule collisions. In particular, we investigate the origins of loss processes in a cloud of chemically stable molecules and share our observations of magnetically tunable resonances between NaK and K. Furthermore, we outline a method for suppressing molecular loss by using a coherent two-photon transition to create a potential barrier, which prevents the colliding molecules from reaching the short-range.
