Using Deep Level Transient Spectroscopy (DLTS) the charge transfer to and from Self-Assembled Quantum Dots (SAQDs) at large distance from the reservoir can be observed. Measurements are performed at a temperature of 77 K studying the influence of short-wavelength infrared irradiation. With wavelengths larger than 1.5 µm photons are not capable to induce charge emission from neutral Quantum Dots in ground state but can cause free charge carriers from electronic states in SAQDs.
