The decay of B_s → µ⁺µ⁻ is strongly suppressed in the Standard Model (SM). SM extensions, however, predict enhanced branching fractions compared to the SM (∼ 3.6 · 10⁻⁹). Thus, B_s → µµ is an interesting channel for discovering New Physics at the LHC.

The B_s → µ⁺µ⁻ branching fraction is measured relative to a reference channel, B^± → J/ψ K⁺. The estimation of the B^± yield, and the computation of its uncertainties is presented.
